1. Submit Your Treasure/Choose Your Cause
Start by filling out our Treasure Form on our anothermanstreasure.co Sell page. Upload photos, describe your item, choose its category (e.g. sneakers, jewelry, bags), note the condition, the brand, and let us know which charity you'd like to support. You decide how much of the final sale price goes to charity - 50% is the default, but you can choose anywhere from 25% to 75%. The rest is split: 25% to you, and 25% to Another Man’s Treasure to support operations and employ people in recovery. You’ll also input your contact and shipping information. Each form submission is linked to your seller account.
2. Get the Gold Yes (or a Polite No, Thank You)
We review every submission manually. If your treasure meets our standards ($200+ resale value, authentic, high quality), you'll receive an email with our 'Aye, We Want Yer Treasure!' message with Fair Market Value (what it will list at) and Rock Bottom (price AMT has rights to reduce to at any time), as well as next steps. If not, we'll kindly decline with a ‘Nay, This Treasure Shall Remain Buried'.
3. We List It, It Sells, You Ship
If approved, we will list your treasure. Once sold, we will notify you along with a prepaid label for you to ship to us. We charge a flat $9.95 for shipping both ways, covered using part of the donation. We ask you ship within 5 business days.
4. We Refurbish and Send to the Buyer
Once your treasure arrives, we clean it up and verify authenticity, if required (via trusted experts and apps). We then ship to the buyer to enjoy.
5. Donation + Seller Payment = Complete
We cut a check to your chosen charity and mail it directly. You receive your cut via mailed check, Venmo, or PayPal - your choice. You'll also receive a donation receipt for your records. Every sale helps support people in recovery and meaningful causes.
6. Your Commemorative Gold Doubloon (you deserve it!)
Both the buyer and seller will receive a commemorative AMT Gold Doubloon inscribed with the charity and amount donated within 3 months. These doubloons go in your mini AMT Doubloon Vault (provided to both buyer/seller upon their first sale by AMT!) for you to proudly display and value.
7. Keep the Magic Going
After your first sale, you'll be invited into our seller circle with early access to promotions, free giveaways, etc. We're building a guilt-free resale economy - and we want you aboard for the voyage!
